I got this same email, (I should’ve known it was a scam because it was under a name “Sherrie Burkholder” and the payment was a picture. I went on the phone with him and was so angry cause he sounded rude and bored of the conversation and tried getting me to type a website into my computer, but obviously I couldn’t do that because my computer kept stopping it sending me a message telling me it’s a dangerous download and when I told this to the guy he said “yeah it’s going to kill you” before hanging up. Thankfully it didn’t go farther than that and I didn’t give him any info. I really should’ve known it was a scam because he told me to get in front of a computer and I told him I couldn’t (which I literally couldn’t cause I wasn’t at home and forgot I did have my laptop in my backseat) but he just kept saying the same thing and saying he’ll remain on the line until I get to a computer even tho I offered things like asking if he could email me the cancel form

Thank you! This just happened to me. And they added a note to the transaction saying that if I didn't call, my account will be charged today. It was very well written so if you didn't look hard enough, you'd think this was a note from paypal. Aaaaand it looks official because paypal sends you the note via email (but it's just something the requestor wrote 😤). I had to look at this a few times before it made sense. Figured it was suspicious so I started researching, and you helped me put all of the pieces together...Thank you!

In retrospect, it's kinda clever because when I tried to report a suspicious transaction, there was no transaction to report because a cancelled transaction is the whole crux of the scam. I'd like to report it but don't know how.

Really thank you for this video as I woke today on this type of email with pdf attached doc sayings I bought iPhone 15 via PayPal and I can call free number if it wasn’t me and the putting another person name and address but the phone number have my country code but can’t be number use in my country .
