Sometimes scale modelling isn't just about small subjects, sometimes you need to go a bit bigger! In this video I'm exploring the Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus FDM 3D Printer and seeing how well it works in relation to printing some larger scale models with its bigger print volume.

My opinion is that for figures or any other smaller objects needing to be high quality to be better with resin printing…but this is better for larger objects for practical uses

There's some great products coming out in the larger build area market segment lately, very good to see that elegoo have put the effort into making a very well finished product.
I'd love to see a side by side of this vs the creality cr-30, they have an infinite Z by using a conveyor belt for the build plate!

I'm sort of a regular 3d printed model plane user. This style of model making is perfect for unknown subjects. Or if you're short on money. The main drawback are the printing lines, as you said.

For your next project, you could try to make a tutorial on how to eliminate the printing lines. Maybe using the big keychain you printed.

I would reconmend a voron 0.1 for even higher speeds if you have the time but the build is very difficult

The gold is actually a type of material to increase adhesion

Awesome. Just one problem, Here in South Africa you will not be able to keep the printer running for 29 hours. Loadshedding every single day. no electricity 3 times a day and between 2 and a half and 4 and a half hours at a time

It has to be superb for many modeling subjects. A 1/48 scale U.S. Navy Catapult for one. Buildings. Barrels, War of the Worlds tripod. A puddle jumper from SGA. Depends on the genius who has one.

Im searching a printer with direct drive, fast printing and silent for not more than 300euros ?
I dont know if the neptune 3 plus is good or not cuz im scared for the time and quality...
