Here's the full On-Ice Hockey Speed Workout:

A: 8 x goal line to far side blue line maximum effort sprints (start in push up position) with 75 seconds rest between sets.

B: 8 x on-ice back pedal sprint (start at blue line, skate backward to same side goal line and explode forward to far side blue line) with 75 seconds rest between sets.

C: 5 x Partner assisted resistance sprint (Wrap band around your waist and have partner resist your sprint until the first blueline and then he lets go and you keep sprinting until the next blue line) with 90 seconds rest between sets.

These are some good drills. Definitely implementing 1 or 2 of these for the upcoming season when I coach my sons Squirt team.
