The 40mm Micro Nikkor easily covers full frame when focused to a few feet so used as a macro lens you don't need to set your FF camera to Crop Mode.

This series is the one I've been waiting for. Macro photography with bugs is fun although bees & wasps will be challenging! I'll probably get a macro lens and the one I'm eyeing is the Tokina or Sigma.
