About SIREN:
“Siren” takes us inside Bristol Cove—a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. The series stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to a mysterious new girl in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a strange young woman with a deep dark secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a marine biologist who works with Ben, and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life’s a Drag”) stars as Xander, a deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on. Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive produces. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on board as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.

I love how the writers made us think this cult was evil but it turned out that only a few are fanatics and Beth became a really good ally. Conversely, you thought Ian was good in the beginning and then he turned against them. Even Nicole had a really good arc before she mysteriously disappeared.

I like how the hybrids consider themselves more mermaid than human, even though it's more likely their human heritages would be more dominant than their mermaid genes at this point in their lives. And I guess although they're not exactly supernatural in any sense, they do have certain abilities/traits that distinguish them from full-blooded humans and somewhat relate themselves to their pure-blood merfolk kin:
•They have copper in their blood
•They're immune to all effects of the siren song, whether harmful or not
•They seem to have enough mermaid DNA in their genes that even those like Helen whose mermaid heritage is “one-eighth, to be exact”, are still sensed by full-bloods like Ryn as one of their own

Now this episode was sad....I think what’s came out about Ben might have destroyed what they had....
But how much do Helen know and if she would have told her this before would it have not gotten so far out of

I was hoping BeN was able to have a baby by her now am kinda this have been the plot twist....
Am just sad I wasn’t expecting things to go this way or end this
