My Encounter With This Song

'You know me'
This really is a song that l love- it is so uplifting and it has been especially in my lowest times- when l am questioning when and how God is going to fulfill His plan for my life. Sometimes l look at where l am now and those promises can just seem so far-fetched and impossible.

Oh but He knows me! I am reminded of Psalm 139 every time l sing this song.

Verse 13-16 (MSG)
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.

There is nothing that is hidden from His sight, nothing about our lives hits Him by surprise, He knows us better than we even know ourselves and He says that he has numbered the hairs on our heads, He didn't have to but He cares that much.
We are the apple of His eye, more precious to Him than the sparrow, and in this journey it has become enough for me to know that He knows me and that He loves me.

Many times when l am feeling discouraged and uncertain He has whispered to me "Shami l care more about your dreams and the promises l have made to you more than you do yourself" and l cant help but weep and be filled with gratitude because he knows me so well.

I pray that as you watch the video you may find the same rest, comfort and confidence in knowing that He knows you.
