Ok, Bill Mahr was wrong about that one. But there are plenty of examples of how the Abrahamic religions obviously drew inspiration from ancient religions and myths. For example, Greek Mythology is fraught with Demi gods who appear mortal but have mystical powers, such as Hercules. Greek Mythology also has stories of gods Turing into animals or inanimate objects to interact with mortals, which may have inspired the burning bush story and Lucifer's appearance as a snake.

And most damning of all, part of the Bible was literally plagiarized from the Epic of Gilgamesh, as explained in this link.
