What is urban planning?

As an urban planner myself, I often believe this amazing field of study is often foreshadowed or unknown of. I define what urban planning means to me in the following video.

Cities have been a part of human history throughout its existence. From ancient settlements to the robust cities of today, how have we been able to mass plan such centers of civilization since the beginning of times? This is where the practice of urban planning comes in.

I'm an urban planner too and totally agree that there is often limited appreciation for the enormous scope and responsibility of planners. It's not an easy job - great video! 👌
