Kelley offers a profound perspective on everyone’s innate ability to be creative and the need to encourage the use of creativity in every aspect of today’s society. “The United States is particularly well suited for being innovative,” says Kelley; “when we grew up everyone knew who invented the cotton gin and who invented the telephone, they were our heroes. Thank you for an interesting interview. My only gripe (because humans are very good at criticizing other people's ideas) is that I think electrical engineers are probably some of the most creative designers this world has, just not at the same public visibility as saving babies in Africa (although I bet EEs were involved in that at some point). PS I'm not an electrical engineer but a simple geologist.
