DJI Osmo Action 3 vs. DJI Action 2 - Video Quality 'Focus' Test

Even with the marginally "softer" image, I still think the Action 3 is a superior product to the Action 2 in almost every way. Happy as hell with this camera.

I think they have put on more noise reduction on Action 3 making it softer in low light.
The best comparizon is in daylight outside, but Action 2 is indeed sharpest here on your test.

when would you use the 2 over the 3? and vice versa?

I'm planning to buy one and I just went to DJI store, and asked what are the current manufactured batches they have on sale. They told me it's December 2022, which I think with the new firmware updates, should have better performance as compared to the earlier batches.

However I'm still worried if somehow there's still a big focus issue. Can I know how can I test the focusing of my unit to make sure it doesn't have any issue so I can send it back to DJI for a replacement unit or repairs. Thanks

Thoughts on a recent gopro vs action 3? I bought the hero 10 back in 2020 i believe. I think its alright!

IMHO: the Action 3 got a New fisheye lens smaller the the Action first gen and that is where we have this focus concern. not the right lens can not swap lenses or put a lesser fov on so we have to live with parameter adjustments done bu DJI or think tweaking the lens is the answer, been there and done that and its not my go to camera thanks FISH

Make daylight test, please. In the low light OA3 makes more noise reduction, less noise - less detailes.

At 1:04 both cams have out of focus issues. I have the Action 2 and I don't find it in focus especially when you are in front talking.
