Good video. But, the reduction in heat output is more about controlling the engine’s overall thermal management rather than keeping the rider significantly cooler. Heat still radiates from the engine block, exhaust pipes, and other hot components, which means the rider can still feel the warmth even when only two cylinders are firing.

In summary, the 2-cylinder idle feature primarily aims at improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions rather than drastically cooling the rider, although it does contribute a bit to overall heat management.

One of the most technologically advanced money black holes.

Love how the salesman probably told him this is a "special" feature when other bikes have it and it's for emissions and is a maintenance nightmare.

Its called rear cylinder deactivation, and it's most definitely not the only bike that does that.

I just love looking at the bike, can you imagine just riding it.

Hearing the most technologically advanced next to cylinder deactivation is wild to me 😂😂😂😂 given Chevy had it pre 2010 😂😂😂😂

The marketing team went crazy on this one, buying a 4 cilinder bike that runs on 2 😂😂😂

Lmao Harley has had that for years. Although those bikes turn off the rear cylinder at a certain temperature.

You said only bike on the market but Harley-Davidson and Indian both use a cylinder deactivation system that works largely the same on most of their V-twins.

That’s so stupid. Complexity adds to the possibility of failure. Which is why Ducatis are a nightmare to own.

The funny thing is that when car manufacturers did this, they started wrecking cams so people actually tuned this out. I’m fine with my “basic” bike

I bet that is more for emissions compliance than anything else. Still a super cool bike though.

it has another feature too. it doesn't start when warm

Chevy car owners know this isn't always a good feature... D.O.D.

Rear cylinder deactivation has been on v engines for years, its a great fearure and awesome to see on a sport bike, but not new by any means.

Ah yes, cylinder deactivation. the most reliable and bulletproof technology any manufacturer has used...

Sound like some extra expensive shit that’ll break

And it will also make it the most uneven worn bike inn the world. There's a reason why car manufacturers got rid of the cylinder deactivation technology.

Damn, that also saves a bit of fuel. I didn't know that.
