Dave Righetti Launches Ball Over Right Field Fence! New York Yankees

Dave Righetti of the New York Yankees doesn't like the fact that Manager Lou Piniella is coming out of the dugout to pull him from the game so he won't face Jesse Barfield of the Toronto Blue Jays, so he hurls the baseball over the right field wall in disgust! "Rags" was a great closer for the Bronx Bombers!

This was a culmination of things. George had been criticizing Dave quite a bit in the press and that, coupled with Dave's frustration at his own recent failures, simply drove Dave to carry out this ultimate tension-breaking act. From that moment on Righetti was fine and on his way to setting a then all-time record for saves in a season with 46.
