Paint brushes washed down drain of septic tank

Don't wash your paint brushes down your drains. I don't know where to take it at this time, but this caused an expensive lesson for a homeowner

Very helpful. I'm new to septic systems and I'm painting my shop right now. I wasn't going to dump paint down the drain but I was wondering if cleaning brushes in the sink and letting the water go down the drain would be okay. Now I know it's not. Thanks a million for the video!!!

Great information to share and very important to know if you are a homeowner with a septic system! I have already concluded that from here out, I'm going to be using 'disposable' brushes and rollers - not necessarily traditional cheap throw-aways, but maybe a compromise of budget/quality. When you consider the relative cost of paint vs the applicators, even if you use moderate quality you can strike a nice balance on results vs investment.
