years later, I think if you were to witch socket joints and ball pieces over, it would give you a more accurate "anatomy" for the strider, their body seems to be a little dangling on their legs, but otherwise, the main body is really accurate, I think this might be the best LEGO strider I've seen

for those who don't know the reason those thing poke out of the striders feet s because they are sensors because the strider is a blind tripod creature that was organically grown in the citadel and is domesticated and trained by the combine and after its basic training is finished they attach the gun then teach it how to use it and what it destroy and if it survived the mission its brain would be augmented that's why when D.O.G rips its brain out its got glowing marks and pattern so basically the striders are almost blind robots controlled by a combine engineer and that thing on the front of the striders head (what was its head) is a machine gun and the thing below it is a plasma blaster also the things poking out of its feet allows it to co-ordinate the placement of its legs that explains why they don't trip over every time they so much as move there leg (its kind of obvious)  that movement for a strider must be hard as of how tall they are and there centre of balance so yeah hope this satisfied any half life 2 fans with info about the strider (also hunters are kind of the same thing but a bit different)

the antenna things on the legs are sensors so it knows what is in front of it since the strider is blind

You need a 360 degree erling then take 3 white 1x2 tiles and a 1x2 jumper plate, along with a red translusant 1x1 round stud.
take the 3 white tiles around the erling and put the jumper plate on the front then put the stud on the nub on the front of the jumper plate. you can also take 2 black 1x1 round studs on the sides of the body then put the white tiles over then your have the turrets weapons extended. :D hopes it helped.
