DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is SET to have some of the most EXCITING gamemodes within any Dragon Ball game, since we are confirmed to be getting the story, seems like we’ll be getting it with a twist.. what do y’all think?

5:56 - WHAT? What is Yamcha's story mode going to be?

Saiyan saga fight with Saibaman then gets killed.
Namek saga - Yamcha is dead
Ginyu saga - Yamcha is dead
Frieza saga - Yamcha is dead
Android saga - fight(?) with Dr. Gero then almost gets killed.
Cell games - fight(?) with Cell Jr.
Buu saga - no fights and then Yamcha is dead.
All of DBS anime - not a single fight.

So 3 fights per 422 episodes, 2 of which weren't even fights he just got beat almost to death by Gero and Cell Jr. Like 4 more fights if he has OG DB fights as part of his story mode BUT it was confirmed that story mode starts with Raditz.

Tien isn't in a much better situation, he has more fights but his story mode would also be quite empty.

It makes more sense to give some villain a story mode, like Frieza, he has a fight with someone in every form and then a lot of battles in DBS.
1st Form - Killed king Vegeta and Bardock pre Z era.
1st Form - vs Nail
1st Form - vs Gohan and Krillin
1st Form - vs Vegeta
2nd Form - Killed Krillin
2nd Form - vs Vegeta and Piccolo
3rd Form - vs Piccolo
Final Form - Killed Vegeta
Final Form - vs Gohan, Piccolo and Goku
Final Form - vs SSJ Goku
100% - vs SSj Goku
Mecha Frieza - vs Trunks
DBS - Tagoma, Blue Goku, Blue Vegeta and then A TON of fights in tournament of power.

I feel like Frieza will act as one of the perspectives. This creates a reason for Bardock & KIng Vegeta to appear within the main story.

I think the 8 characters for story mode are going to be

Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, Frieza, Android 17, and Mr Satan

They've said time and time again that the story mode will only cover start of Z thru the end of the Tournament of Power. I wouldn't get my hopes up about og Dragon Ball being in the story mode. If it ends up being there awesome but I'm not about to get my hopes up.

Android 17 instead of Yamcha. Trunks as a general character makes the most sense (combining kid and future trunks). Heck, what if they just have Buu (generally all of the Buus), this would have fights throughout Buu saga, a Buu vs Berus fight in Super, and Buu was part of the tournament vs Universe 6.

Why would they overlook the first battle between piccolo jr. & goku agian....only becuase its the dragonball series? I think it should have been in story mode, with the other battles, darn.

I agree with a lot of people in these comments, Yamcha is definitely being swapped out with Frieza. A villain playthrough just lends itself to too many cool What Ifs, and he has relevancy up into the Tournament of Power, they could even do a What If where he wins that. I think you're right about most of the others (pretty sure Krillin will be playable because people complained a lot when he wasn't in Kakarot), Tien is the only other one I'd say would be iffy. He dies early to Nappa, and barely does anything in the ToP; I don't think he's gonna take a story slot just for his one iconic scene against 2nd Form Cell. His slot will probably go to Cell, Buu, or Android 17, who have a lot of story and What If potential (What If Cell or Buu were in the ToP instead of Frieza, for instance).

I think if Trunks takes a slot, all Trunks versions are included (Future, Kid)... Yamcha doesn't have much of a relevance, so I'd switch him with Goten.

Bruh. They keep using the same storyline for almost every single game. They better put the entire "Super Arch" in the game. This is why I loved Xenocerse 2 because they kept adding on story lines and it's so underrated! To me, it's one of the best battles and storylines ever! Just my opinion...
