Minecraft Story Mode Seed found using a Map!

We found one of the seeds from the Minecraft Story Mode using just a map at EnderCon present in the game!

🗺 SEED INFO
► Seed: 2234065947811606375
► Coordinates: X=-640, Z=256
► Version: Minecraft Java 1.8.9

🌲 HOW THE SEED WAS FOUND
► Using split lines, we were able to get out the exact placement of chunks, matching the map.
► The seed was then found by narrowing down possible seeds using some chunks with many taiga trees. Before the final seed was brute forced using the taiga trees position and size.

Looking at this has just made me wonder if the creators of the game will ever release a version of the actual custom map they used to build the various locations seen in Story Mode - I've seen screenshots posted online of the full beacontown area not seen in-game so obviously it DOES exist somewhere.

The fact that the seed for first map even exist shows how much exactly effort was put in Minecraft: Story Mode. I mean, I always thought that these maps were drawn by hand, that humans came up with the terrain. But in reality developers went through different seeds in game, looking for perfect terrain, and created Story Mode world from real different in-game worlds? That's just awesome to think about

Minecraft story mode was always one of the most nostalgic games to me, and someone actually found a seed to a place within the actual game I hope more stuff happens like this because things like this really make a lot of people happy and feel nostalgic

really solid video! i thought the audio mixing was a little off though, there were a few moments where i felt like the background music overpowered your voice a little. it wasn’t enough to ruin the experience or make it so i couldn’t fully hear you, just thought i would point it out. i really appreciate you being able to make such a concise and to the point video, as i can think of several other channels that would have dragged this out to be 30+ minutes for no real reason. bravo :)
