The most comforting thing I heard in this was “other people are struggling with this too”

It's so comforting seeing how many people in the comments struggle with this too. I've been dealing with episodes like this basically my entire life and only just learned it was caused by anxiety. It used to only be maybe once every few years but it's been becoming an almost weekly problem for me. I've recently gotten a new therapist which has really helped me. She's given me so many tools for when I feel sick and anxious. I'm seeing a psychiatrist next week so I'm basically just counting down the days so I can finally be free again!! Some things my therapist told me to do was:

1. EXORCISE!!! It's almost an immediate stress and anxiety reliever. Aerobic is best. I personally like to go on long bike rides around my neighborhood or I take walks.

2. This may sound weird but CRYSTALS. While they may not really do anything, it absolutely helps to have something to hold on to when you're feeling anxious and scared. If you convince yourself that it relieves the anxiety, then it will! Of course, this isn't for everyone.

3. Being outside with nature! Just feeling the nice air and listening to the animals and plants around you can really help. Being in an outdoor setting is a lot less stressful than when you're confined in a room.

4. THIS ONE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT!! Wallowing in your own anxiety and just sitting with it is the most common way it gets worse! The best thing to avoid is sitting by yourself and doing nothing. (Even watching tv can help) Sometimes I like to get myself completely focused on something like homework or painting! Some people find that having friends around helps them, but I personally don't like do that cause it makes me worry about being sick in front of them. But it can definitely help in some cases!

5. Even just talking to a doctor or therapist about it can give A LOT of closure and comfort. It can also help pinpoint what's triggering the anxiety! It's gotten increasingly easier for me to understand myself and what's going on after even just a few weeks of getting professional help.

6. Remember to work with your body! If you're feeling sick, eat things that sick people would usually have! (My main go-to is soup!) I find it difficult and almost impossible to swallow solid foods, so I like to stick to liquidy things like smoothies, soup, and pudding!

And always remember, YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS!!
Take everything one day at a time!
It may feel like there's no hope, but it will always end.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE <33

Anxiety leads to nausea leads to more anxiety leads to more nausea leads to more anxiety...it doesn’t matter where the tracks begin, once the train starts rolling I can’t stop it

When I’m at school I get really nervous that I’m going to throw up before I eat and I just take deep breaths and tell myself that I can do it. I think I’m getting better. Thank you for this video

I struggle every morning with the sick churning feeling in my gut telling me I need to throw up. I feel like if I listen, my anxiety wins and I will always have this issue. It's something I battle with every day, physically and emotionally. To those out there struggling too, stay strong and we can all get through this together.

I suffered from extreme nausea for the past three years. Every single morning, vomiting before going to school and all that stuff. Meditating every day, ear plugs, streching, writing down all my anxious thoughts, CBD-oil, deleting social media, talking to my parents, going for walks on my own, reminding myself that it‘s okay to have anxiety, Alexander Technique once a week - those things work for me. But often times I forget to look after myself and end up being extremely anxious again. So yeah, trying every day. It helps a lot to know that I‘m not the only one :)

I can’t even tell my parents about it because they are literally sick of me being this sick! I hope it gets better. I feel less lonely knowing that many people are dealing with this condition. 😭❤️
