Likely the first prototype custom seat made in Australia.

I managed to find a local specialist who does XSR mods. He has done a great job in my view to change the look of the OEM seat which I for one did not like at all.

OEM seat was very uncomfortable on longer ride with pretty much no padding and the seat edges would feel sharp. The shapp also caused my ass to slide forward into the tank being 6ft1.
This custom seat has dual layers are HD close cell foam and padding which gives it a very comfortable feel but still maintains firmness with nice roll over edging. Added layer and shaped also keeps you from sliding forward. Dealing with the OEM camel hump was a challenge as the molded seat plate has this hump in it, however the bloke doing this work is a magician and the end result is what you see.

Materials used are different quality swade colours with hand crafted stitching. It Was worth the added cost to have quality a finished product fitted to this bike.

I’ve also ditched the oem mirrors and am waiting on a Tail tidy to be made.

Looks so much better than the original one. Yamaha should consider using this design.

Massive improvement - just need a seat cowl now in matching black and it will be sweeeet!

Looks great, as much as I don't mind the new seat on my 2022 xsr900, I always think they can be upgraded to look better, be more comfortable, and as you mentioned gain and inch or 2 in height. Well done!
