Hi Chris. I just came across your YouTube page and am currently watching some of your videos. I will watch them all in the near future. I have been very interested in the concept of "The Singularity" for at least 6 years and was wondering what your opinion on "The Singularity" is in relation to Ray Kurzweil's predictions. And I also have an other question. My father reads Scientific American and he told me that according to a prediction made by some futurists it predicted that the highest possibility for a nuclear war would be between India and Pakistan, so I thought what would the future of defence and warfare be? What would make us disarm all the nuclear weapons, will we use EMP or humanoid robots for war? Or will we find a way not to have wars? Whats your opinion on the future of warfare?

How do you believe computing power fits in with our, potentially, greener and sustainable future? Moore's law does predict how computing power will increase, however taking in to account how power hungry the future machines might be, do you think we will be seeing another four or five generations of new high end high power CPUs and other devices or do you see us finding an equilibrium, where power consumption and speed/computing power are equal and sustainable?

I really enjoy your show. I do think that 3d printing, as it evolves, will challenge other industries. This kind of challenge may indeed even hold back technology and our realization of its place in our future, as we have seen with the petroleum industry.

PS - I would love to see a show about cultured meat. This is a technology that could really make a huge impact on our future.

what do you think could fuel (or power) a wormhole generater(something that could squeeze the fabric of gravity like a gear pulling a rope, though i'm sure you would already know how such a machine could hypothetically work). and if you made a surface perfectly flat, therfore eliminating friction, could you use that as an infinite energy source and what are other possible uses of such a platform?

i think that 3d printing will not have a net effect on the economy. It will disrupt smaller manufacturing corporations but it will also give a boost to the corporations supplying the materials. people will simply move from manufacturing to designing

well I would like to know more about potentials of fusion energy (ITER), I know that predicted energy outputs of the first powerplant in france will won't be very high. But this is just a test and I don't know how the energy output scales with the size of the reactor (I guess the dependency is not linear). Could this be solution to energy crysis ? It's basically artificial sun ... so ... ?

I've had a question come to my mind lately, i thought that electric cars don't pollute the environment and are environmental friendly but then i thought is it possible that the process of creating that electric car and changing the batteries might end up polluting the environment more than a gas car.

Hello! New fan, but previously exposed to futurology. I am a huge fan of James Burke and seeing your channels reminds me of his work.

So, my questions are as follows; with the advent of 3d printing and the use of materials other than just plastics, how badly/fast will the world react to the shattering of it's artificial scarcity/do you think we'll be moving to a point of post scarcity? Is it feasible to print with anything but just nylon/plastic currently? How will certain economies deal with a truly disposable world? When should I start investing in plastics?

If you address this in an other video, forgive me, I was too giddy to not ask.
