If it makes Poland feel any better, I, as someone born and raised in America, would also love for Washington DC to get their heads out of their behind and actually do their freaking job our tax dollars are paying them for instead of wasting all their worktime creating a hostile work environment for everyone.

The trouble is that we _really do_ have legitimate problems at home, and the refusal of our so-called leaders to do anything but deliberately make them worse has people thinking that, somehow, denying support to Ukraine will help refocus things here.

We absolutely can and should fix our domestic problems and help Ukraine. Both are in our national interest. Unfortunately, the more important one - fixing things here - is against the self-interest of our so-called leaders, at least insofar as they think their self-interest lies. They're ultimately wrong, but they're selfish, short-sighted fools who have theories that they blame the rest of us when reality doesn't match up to them.

Man as a Pole I do love the representation. We have a culture of fuck around and find out . When we were under partitions we rebelled every other day . For example we took our work scythes and reforged them to fight ( put them vertically on the shaft and sharpened the tip ) they still are the symbol in a couple of our units .

To be fair, we "saved" Poland in the 90s about fifty years after us and the Brits completely sold them out to Stalin after the war, which was about six years after France and Britain declared war on Germany for Poland and then got scared of the six old guys the Wermacht left to guard the western front while the rest of their military went to work in the East. Poland's got some alliance trauma it still needs to work through.
