My sterotype side of me is telling me that an average Canadian wont survive in Russia.

I'm Balinese and have never heard of that rule before. it's more polite to finish the food, rather than leaving a little bit of it

Also, when in Bali, don’t call it a country. It’s Indonesia, folks.

Calling Indonesia Bali is like calling the USA New York.

Honestly the worst that'll happen if you smile at strangers in Russia is that they'll ignore you.

As a Russian, yes, we don’t smile at random passerby’s but for me, whenever I’m at a store or somewhere else, I always smile a bit and say “have a good day” to the cashiers/ other customer service workers, it really lifts up their mood. Oh and whenever you ask train security for directions, no matter how grumpy they look, they get their life back in their eyes, they love actually helping people

As an Indonesian this guy wrong two thing:

1. Way more respectfull if you eat the food without left any. If you left a bit, they may feel you a bit disliking the food.

2. Bali 'is not a country', it was a part of a island on the Indonesian that was use for tourist or vacation do.

Calling the country by bali is already disrespectful

as a person that lives in ireland i can confidently say that the drivers dont give a crap where you sit, people just tend to sit in the front

Smiling in Russia is not improper, people would smile back, but some may found this as you wanting to start a convo, and that may freak them out. Start with hi, and smile all you want

Hearing Russian in American accent just feels so wrong

Guys, as Russian I can say this is stereotype already, I'm just happy to smile every stranger, and talk to some of them, like guard or smth, it could be creepy only if you smile to peoples that going through you, in other cases this is amazing ❤

I’m from Ireland and if I’m ever in a taxi I sit at the back 😂

As a person living in Russia, I can say that this is not the whole truth

as an irish person, it's just that chatting is so ingrained in our culture, so sitting in the back would come off as dismissive and possibly a bit weird. idk how it is in the rest of the world, but everytime you step outside you run the risk of getting into hour long conversations with strangers

Privet❌
Zdrastuite✔️
Privet is like hi but you can only say it to your friends and zdrastuite is for older people or strangers
Don't make this mistake if you go to Russia

Balinese here, it's okay to eat everything up, we actually like it if you finished it, but ofcourse every household is different, this is just what i saw so far
