Thank you guys for watching! We're approaching 16k subs which is absolutely insane. I just wanted to thank you for supporting the growth of this channel by commenting and liking the videos, it really means a lot.

From now on, I'll upload a tutorial every Friday just to keep up with all the great ideas from some of you guys. Next up is camera tracking, but I've gotten requests to make all kinds of destruction effects, so expect more of that!

I'm on Blender 4.0 now, and this tutorial still worked with flying colors! My only advice is if you notice that the color of your explosion looks a bit off, switch your Color Management from the new AGX to Filmic to make it look more like the tutorial. Or, you can adjust the Blackbody Tint value in the Principled Volume node to make it look more to your liking.

what's wrong with cg explosions is that they just pop out of nowhere and burn from the outside to inside. While in real life the fuel is vaporised first, so there is this mist of fuel that starts burning from the inside and as it burns the hot gases expand in volume that makes the explosion expand into a big cloud and ends with the mist burning inside out and residue smoke inside expanding.

You could use the graph editor, that’s not how a mushroom shaped explosion rises. Not eased from both ends.

hello, working in 4.0 and there's no blackbody intensity option in the principled node anymore, what is the work around for this? also, when i go to import the openVDB files, i cant find a cache_fluid folder anywhere, any ideas on why this is?

the shader nodes you are using doesnt add flame colour in evee can you do the shading for evee i have invested a certain amount of time in this

at 10:46 you added the attribute node and it instantly got the red colour, mine did not, any ideas why?
