This is the clearest view of his face we've ever seen in an interview. He's always wearing shades.

He always seemed so angry and frustrated in past interviews, or apathetic at best, I've never seen him so excited and passionate and animated, it's like he's living his best life and loving it.

If I saw Mick in person, I wouldn't even know I've been a fan of his band for 20 years 😂

Mick is one smart dude! Great compliment when he wrote to say he was a fan of mine. 15 yrs back.

I was listening to Slipknot since high school, but the people Mick mentioned was definitely listened to by these ears. Could hear playing by the guitar legends and could never heard a note out of place.

He looks so different compared to the video of him recording guitar tracks for All Hope is Gone. I'm proud of him for his weight loss, but also, if I saw him in the street, I wouldn't recognise him at all. When I first started seeing shorts from this interview making its rounds, I skipped them all because I had no idea who it was at first.

Mike Clark and Rocky George don't get enough credit. Way ahead of their time especially Rocky with his melodic leads that were brilliantly done.

i'm kindof very surprised :D i wanted to look at some live-recordings of mick, i saw that interview and i first thought, someone named the video wrong, because i thought it would be jim root?!
then i read the news about the weight loss and saw the "seven" on the arm.

At least I found this video I was trying to find a photo of him in 2023 since he looks all thin and then I found this and I was surprised by the look

Fuck. 20 years of following a musician, only to realize I had no idea what he looks like without the shades.

Whenever I see Mick Thomson these days, I think of the song "Skin and bones" by Foo fighters.
He looks incredibly old. He has aged by 10 or 20 years. He certainly doesn't look 51. More like 70.😨
