Alla Prima Portrait Painting of my Grandfather

This was an alla prima oil portrait from when I visited my Grandparents in Poland last month. I loved being able to sit down and ask them about their life and listen to all their stories. This is Dziadek Wacek. I’m always Inspired by how hard he worked all his life, and how much he loves his family. I was sitting with one of my uncles last week, and he told me that my grandpa was always an entrepreneur, when people in the village had a horse, he already had two tractors. It was doubly hilarious when said in Polish. Also I think I get a big part of my sense of humor from him.
