This was an alla prima oil portrait from when I visited my Grandparents in Poland last month. I loved being able to sit down and ask them about their life and listen to all their stories. This is Babcia Czesia. She is one of the most caring souls I have ever known, and visiting her always feels like coming home. There is a type of unconditional love that's much easier to feel from our grandparents, and I feel lucky to have her as one of mine.
