How To Use Proxychains & Tor in Kali Linux 2021 | Setup Tor & Proxychains | Ethical Hacking

This is a simple tutorial on how to setup ProxyChains with private proxies so you can use it to create your own private TOR network and send your browser’s Internet traffic through various IPs and browse the web in complete anonymity.

Install proxychains:
The first thing you need to know is that ProxyChains works only on Mac and Linux. Unfortunately, you can’t use it with Windows. But there are some other software applications for Windows that will do the same job, for example Proxyfier.
You can install proxychains straight from the Terminal. All you have to do is to type the command:

sudo apt-get install proxychains

After installation, which takes a few minutes, the most important part will come up. You need to access the config file and a few changes for your proxychains to work properly.
First, access the config file by insert the following command in a Terminal:

The changes you need to are the following two:

comment strict_chain (put a # (number sign) in front of strict_chain
uncomment random_chain (remove the # from the line)

These two changes you just made will tell proxychains to ignore the order of the IPs from your proxies list and use them randomly, just like the TOR network. Therefore, with every request you send through proxychains, a randomly chosen proxy IP is used.

Test it
To test it, I am going to open Mozilla Firefox through proxychains by running this command in the Terminal:
