The most scared I've been while Truck Camping (shots fired)

Well, here it is, the first time I've heard shooting while truck camping. Really disappointed I didn't get footage, but I tried my best. I hope everyone stays safe out there, this was an eye-opener.

Living here in Southern CA the sound of the wind and seeing your breath just makes me cold! I give you a lot of credit being out and handling the cold weather like you do. I camp in my minivan sometimes solo, usually in the driveways of friends and family but sometimes parks and campgrounds and that is my nightmare dude. You were so calm. Thanks for the great example. Sometimes do nothing is the best thing.

YOUNG PEOPLE - do something crazy like this dude! In my 20's and early 30's, I climbed many mountains (mainly my best friend and me), mountain biked all over Colorado, took long distance motorcycle trips, fished TONS of lakes in Minnesota/Canada, traveled the country, etc, etc, etc. We/I had a BLAST! Memories to last a lifetime. I LOVE my life now....but, I'm older (married with 3 kids), desk job, and my body is slowly changing (requiring more sleep, not as energetic, and a LOT LESS alcohol😀). Get out there and live life!!! Live with the attitude of "NO REGRETS." Take lots of pics and have FUN!!!!

I only heard gunfire at night in urban areas. Usually in the woods, nothing but the sounds of nature. But!...
I've heard rock clacking, tree knocks, even heard something dragging chains in the woods around 5 in the morning. Pretty freaky!

A firearm probably isn't needed for protection against a couple high schoolers plinking with a .22 near where you're parked at 3am, but a firearm would be very handy against an axe murderer or even just a regular meth head armed with a crowbar or hammer. Like, what tf do you plan on doing if you're abruptly woken up by your back window being smashed in? You gonna stab at them with your knife? At least you got something, but a glock 19 would be way better than a knife for real life-threatening scenarios.

I've had multiple situations like that when truck camping. Every time I managed to scare them off by setting off the truck alarm with the key fob. Safe travels.
