NO 1st Floor House or Apartment in a Flood Zone, or near a Lake, Bay, Canal, Ocean.
I ALWAYS moved and parked my Car to an Upper Floor of a Public Garage the day before a Hurricane will hit.

I went threw this a couple years ago and it was so devastating...at the end of the day I was just thankful my kids and I where safe materialistic things can always be replaced even though it sucks to lose them..I'm glad you and your family are safe together

I live in tornado alley, aka Oklahoma. I truly don’t know if it’s worse to have everything taken away in one second or flooded, washed away & ruined but you watch it all happen? In a tornado, you’re too busy praying to stay alive so it’s actually relief when you’re still alive & everything else is just that; everything else.
