The Polaroid Lab enables you to develop real instant film prints from your phone using authentic Polaroid photochemistry. So any of your phone snaps – or your portfolio work shot on a "proper" camera – can now be presented on actual Polaroids.

Does this make your smartphone the best instant camera ever? I put this bad boy to the test by printing all manner of color and black-and-white images, as well as using it side by side with an actual Polaroid camera. Is this the ultimate marriage of analog and digital?

I think the point that’s missing here is that for most people who like the Polaroid it’s all about the added imperfections that give them the magic the slightly washed out colour, the slight lack of focus

Super well made vid, thanks for the tip on trying to print black and white on color and having big white spots in actual colored pics - that seemed to be the biggest issue I faced.

The way you take out the photos from the lab and the camera, you're ruining them. You should not expose them to light the first few seconds, yet you hold them up to the light directly. So don't be surprised if they come out a bit shitty.

I want to know if you have tried to use a regular photograph instead of using your phone?

The lab also causes an outer circular dark clouding or vignetting. The only way to remove this, is to scan and work an image in photoshop. That is very problematic. In theory the lab is a great idea, but it appears, falls well short.. Does anyone have a solution for this vignetting problem?
