Hi, we are Stephen, Jess, Hunter and baby Koa - an Australian family who have had quite the journey. After travelling the world as a couple in 2020 we had our very first baby, we then spent the following year self-converted a van before moving into it full-time to drive around Australia. Cut to 2023 we welcomed our second child Koa into the world before resuming full-time travel around the world.

I love that you randomly went to a Renaissance Fair without any context! They are pretty big deals in the US. Wisconsin has a huge one in Bristol that is well worth the trip!

Renaissance Fairs are kind of big in the US. They are like Medieval Times, but outdoors. Lots of knights, jousting, medieval feats and plenty of Renaissance role playing. The Texas one is the biggest, but here in PA, we have the 5th largest one in the country. Hope you had a blast!

Wow. That looks like quite the renaissance festival. We do have a fair number of those throughout the country but it’s usually just for a weekend and nowhere near that big.

Loved this one! It all looked like so much fun. The first part, the gold mine, is similar to Sovereign Hill in Victoria. & the fair is similar to another place in Vic called Kryal Castle 🥰

Yes, Renaissance Festival are a thing in this country. They are all over, big ones and small ones. I worked at the big one in Michigan for several years. In answer to your question, yes those buildings are permanent and not taken down off season, except for maybe the tents.
