I stayed at a Cracker Barrel twice when I was driving cross country. Knowing I was alone they were super nice and even told me to pull up in front under lights after they closed. Really appreciate Crackle Barrel for allowing RV and vans...and other travelers to spend the night in their parking lots.

Some extra safety *advice if you didn't know, wrap your seat belts around your door handles, so even if someone does get your door open, the seat belts will immediately lock up and keep them from opening further and hopefully deter the creep.

I live alone in a landed house, and i take many precaution to never advertise im a single woman in a corner house. Her steps are very good and practical, she is alert of her surroundings, immediately putting up shields when an RV pulls up. A fellow rv camper does not mean friend. Never “make friends” and put yourself in a vulnerable scenario if you are travelling alone. Trust no one. If i were to drive home, and there is a car behind, or bike, or human walking past, i never drive into my house, i take detours to make sure im not being followed. It may seem paranoid but id rather be paranoid than dead.

when sleeping in a vehicle, it's a good idea to physically secure the doors such as running a ratchet strap through the grab handles or running each seat belt through the handles and latching it. That way, even if someone pops your lock, they can't get in.

If you're ever concerned about someone noticing you're alone while you do a food run, you can ask for an empty cup and lid that way it looks like you're bringing food to someone waiting in the rv!

As a server at Cracker Barrel, if you’re really sweet and go inside and ask for some biscuits and cornbread at the end of the night we could give PANS of them to you because all we do is throw them in the trash

I used to work retail at CB. You really dont need to ask permission to stay on the lot but everyone was always so polite. And side-note CB has the BEST breakfast
