IMPORTANT NOTICE: don’t come out to your family unless you know you will be safe or have someone to go to who will help and support you.
Your safety is the number one priority.

I saw someone else's story somewhere where they came out to their mum as non-binary and their mum just said, "yes, I've collected the whole set!" because the OP has a brother and a sister.

That is the only real response.

Why choose to have kids if you arent prepared to love them unconditionally. Its the one love that should be unconditional as only one of you chose to initiate that bond (kids shouldnt have to uncondotionally love their parents btw, you didnt choose to be here).

My storytime:
I had been thinking of coming out as nonbinary/trans, i walked up to my parents as they were watching tv. The tv show (about couples buying new properties and houses) showed a gay couple and my dad and mom looked at each other and i could see in their eyes that they were telling each other ‘Ew, they're gay 😒’. Two years later, i still haven't come out

I went through a phase in my life where I did not know whether I like girls or boys. I asked my dad: “Would you support me if I got married in a few years?“ He responded “Yes of course.” Then I pushed further. “Even if it’s a girl?” He thought for a moment and said. “I don’t think it matters. As long as he or she treats you nice”

If I ever had a kid, that convo would go something like:

"Mom, I'm gay."

"You got a bf?"

"Yeah..?"

"Is he nice?"

"Yep"

"K, y'know where the knives are. Just sayin'."

"Mom!?"

"😅"

I’d honestly just like to hear a transphobic argument with actual logic involved. I have a feeling I never will

If you can’t support your children, don’t have kids.

I remember this one story of someone coming out as either nonbinary or genderfluid and their dad just smiled while their mom said, "Aw now I have the whole set"

So, im christian and no, i dont hate on LGBTQ. If i ever have kids and thats what they decide, then i will be with them every step of the way! (in my opinion) God made us all they way we were supposed to be. God also said that we Should be kind to people no matter what, but some people fail to do that. So the next time i mention i believe and support god and someone asks, "what are your thoughts on LGBTQ?" ima say, "Their cool.". I DO NOT DISCRIMINATE MY OWN PEOPLE. If you Would like me to use pronouns, i will try my best. If you want me to call you by a new name, i will try to remember, if you like the same gender or both genders or all genders, i will NoT DISCRIMATE!!!

When I was 19, my 12 year old sister asked what the movie The Kids are Alright was about. I said it was about a lesbian couple's children wanting to meet their sperm donor. My mom gasped and told me not to use that word. I remember saying that lesbian wasn't a curse word, and they actually existed 🤨

What I didn't see through my own comp-het was that she'd never accept me loving a woman (although I already knew she wouldn't accept me loving a black man). 6 years NC
