This is probably one of the best scenes ever.

These guys used to be enemies. Then you remember the effect Goku's family has had on piccolo, time and again after all these years. Now Goku is in a state where he can't use any if his energy for awhile, and he's just sitting here, having a normal conversation with the guy, holding his granddaughter in his arms.

Piccolo just saying "well you are an old man you grandpa." It's so good. Hard to describe how exactly.
I think this is why it's so good to let characters grow up and age.

Crazy we've know this man since he was 12, saw grow up get married have kids, die, come back, overcome challenges, make friends, now he's a grandfather. 🙂It's crazy, how a fictional character can bring pride into our heart❤

Edit- wow this comment really struck a chord. It's nice to know there's a bunch of us "old" guys who grew with DragonBall still enjoying and commenting. I'm 40 and still watch today.
