ThinkPad Pro Docking Station Tour

Hi, I've bought a similar dock, the Lenovo ThinkPad 40A2, for mi T540p Thinkpad, but after three months of use I realized that my Thinkpad is overheating. I presume this is due to the left side of the Dockstation blocking the cooling fan outlet. I'm really not sure if it's a problem because of the design of the dockstation or something is wrong with mine. If anyone has any comments or recommendations regarding this problem, it would be helpful.

I have a T480s. Docks just fine. Locks in place. Display Ports connected from monitors to docking station. However, the two monitors will not display. Also, the small power button on the top (circle) will not turn on when I press it and laptop is docked. On the laptop, I changed "what closing the lid does" from control panel > System and Security > Power Options to "do nothing". Initially it was on "sleep". Still, the power button on the docking station does not turn on. There is power going to the docking station and the light just above the slide lock is lit indicating the laptop is properly docked. I need help please. Thank you so much.

I have a thinkpad x1 6th gen but I am struggling how it is plugged in the docking station? Seems like not clicking sturdy but is a bit loose
Am I doing something wrong? Does any of you have similar issue?

When you plug in the display port cables, it turns off the hdmi on your laptop. So you can't use the hdmi port as a third or 4th monitor???

the connection between docking station and my X280 went bad after about a year. the docking station don't charge my X280 neither the large extra displays can connect. the bad connection is at the docking station C port to the laptop C port. when this happens, it is impossible to have the laptop charged.
