Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises" is such a scary villain. He was more scary than Joker. I loved Joker and Heath Ledger was brilliant, but Bane's character was brutal, to the point and scary as hell! Tom Hardy was incredible!

The subtle anger and threat in the way he delivers “And you brought him down here?” and then the menacing music starts might be my favourite Bane moment in the film.

This was the moment where Banes actual ferocity and unbiased regard for life is shown apparent.

A life is only as good to Bane as long as they are useful to the mission of The League of Shadows and carrying on Ra's al Ghul’s legacy; he even includes himself in this regard. If a life ceases to be useful to the aforementioned purpose, he kills them, himself if he can.

This cold, sociopathic mode of character is completely different from Joker; Bane doesn’t use violence for “shock value” or as a display of anarchy and chaos. Bane uses violence in a precise, methodical and calculated way. All he wants is for Gotham City to die, inhabitants and all, but no more.
