MATILDA and Samuli first met when their parents got married, but while their relationship started off as one of traditional step siblings, things took a turn after an accidental night of passion. Samuli told Truly: "It was weird, wrong and fun." Sharing their unique relationship on social media, the couple have encountered some pretty harsh comments, with people telling the pair to "seek therapy" and describing them as "disgusting". Matilda admitted that initially she thought their hook-up was "kind of wrong" but neither could deny the attraction they felt for each other. Dismissing their hesitations and judgement from society, the couple made it official and got married last year. Matilda explained: "In the past, other people's opinions might have affected us," with Samuli adding, "But nowadays we don't care!"

Here is the most important thing. They *didn't* grow up together. They met as young adults.

Their parents met 4 years ago. 3:12

Their parents have only been together for 4 years. Which means they were pretty much grown when they both met. I think it's really fine. It's like they just happen to meet through their parents. Them being step siblings is just a matter of lables.

This doesn't sound weird at all, they met as adults and aren't blood related. I see nothing wrong. It may help if they didn't use the term " stepbrother/sister" on social media, it triggers people. Some taboo couples use their relationships for clout and that's the issue. If you go online and use phrases that trigger people you have to be prepared for the negative comments.Live your life and be happy❤️

I honestly feel like people feel the need to overshare things on the internet. They honestly could have kept that part to themselves and within their family. They both fell in love. They’re not blood related and of age. Enjoy life and move on.

When I started dating my 1st bf, we dated for many yrs. My mom finally met his dad & they started dating! There was NOTHING weird about that! I mean it was a little closer than I'd have liked control wise, but it wasn't really weird. We were all happy while it lasted, until we had to move far away. But still! It's romantic if that can happen, why not?

The main love story in Clueless is about step siblings who weren't raised together. It's a really fun, mainstream movie and it's everything when they get together. The couple in this truly clip seem really happy and healthy, and they have a great sense of humour 😀.

It would be different if they met when they were young and grew up with each other as siblings but they met when they were adults. I think it would be a good idea for everyone, like the sister for example, to stop referring to him as their step brother, and for her to look at the dad as her father in law rather than step dad. I would just take the siblings part out of the equation entirely and just see it as a really cool connection. Her mum fell in love with his dad and when you think about it, it’s kind of cool that two bloodlines fell in love with the other in two generations.

If the kids got together first then the parents, no one would care 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just turn it the other way around… a couple meet, start dating. They both have single parents and, on Christmas Day, they all came together. The lonely mother of the girl and the lonely father of the boy quickly discovered so much in common. After seeking for theirs kids approval, they started dating and the four became a big happy family.
Now, wouldn’t that be a Netflix movie?
Stop judging people and live your lives!

This is like something out of a taboo romance novel I love to read about. Weird, yes. Uncommon, definitely. But these two aren't related by blood, so it's OK.

they're not blood related or even raised together. they met as adults and even calling them step-siblings is a stretch since they grew up to adulthood without knowing each other. they're 2 people who met and fell in love and I hope the haters realise their hatred is ridiculous.

The fact that he said : she was my little sister" is what's disturbing to me

I mean I can't see myself doing this but at the same time nowadays love is super hard to find and lasting love is even harder so even having it this way is better then not having it at all.

They're not even related. People are so stupid. I hope I love someone like that one day!!

They are not blood related nor did they grow up together, so there is zero incest involved. This situation is uncommon, but it’s not wrong.

Well this is okay, because they’re not biologically related.
