Whatever her pronouns are, (the fire chief) said the main goal of the department was to hire more diverse employees and when asked what that number looked like, (whatever pronoun) said there wasn't a number because it would "NEVER BE ENOUGH". That tells me and a host of other people that her focus was not on fire safety, it wasn't on competent firefighters, it's wasn't on providing the citizens with a competent fire fighting organization, it was ALL about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion above and beyond everything else AND that is why you don't hire ACTIVISTS OVER PROFESSIONALS. Because when you do that in the fire department people DIE, houses and business burn down and your city ceases to be.

I was a firefighter and my department started hiring gully yodelers. Miraculous, they started making rank but couldn't do shit. One couldn't drive anything without crashing it. Unreal. Glad im retired.
