In tonight's top story: Off the coast of Greece, at least 700 migrants died when their ship capsized last week. The unequal level of resources, attention and urgency between this disaster and the Titan sub hasn't gone unnoticed. As Neetu Garcha reports, it will take a global effort to change.

After the implosion of the Titan submersible, some industry experts are hoping that the ongoing investigations and scrutiny will lead to safer vehicles. Mike Armstrong reports.

The premier of New Brunswick is facing a growing caucus revolt that could cost him his job and possibly even plunge the province into a snap election. On Friday, a longtime Progressive Conservative party loyalist became the second MLA to quit Blaine Higgs' cabinet. Bravo to the NHL for it's stance on 'cause based' jerseys. Hopefully the rest of the professional sport leagues follow suit. Contentious political ideologies should be left off the playing surface. The NHL is focusing on it's product, minimizing distractions next season.

I don’t agree with homosexuality but I also don’t go to the games to see these jerseys there not worn on tv so I don’t see a problem with helping out in hand with someone else’s life. Everybody deserves the same amount of respect and I honestly don’t see a problem with the pride jerseys. Now if I played in the nhl I wouldn’t support it or wear any of it but that’s just me. Global has bent some facts with the changes to policy 713. As far as I am aware, teachers are welcome to use whatever pronouns they wish in classroom but permission from parents is only required to change official school records and documents. In the odd case where a student doesn't get parents permission and wants the change, they are referred to a social worker to investigate if there is persecution at home. This seems reasonable to me. It would be a shame to see the only Canadian premiere with fiscal responsibility forced out because the media has misrepresented these policy changes to ramp up public dissent.

One rescue is conducted by the United States Government. Those other rescues in the Med Sea are conducted by various European governments.

One incident rarely happens off the US coast. Those other boats on the Med happen basically every other week, so its not nothing new or rare.
