I just set que points on the 1st, 17th and 33rd beat. I also usually drop my songs in by using a hand on the platter like I was dropping a record in. I just have the muscle memory from years of vinyl.

In Denon is easier, you can program the beatjump with the loop knob

Amazing tips for beginners, i set cue points where i want the track to come in and where want it too loop and out, get to understand how the track plays, if i suddenly miss a beat i add Fx to build it up again

This is where memory cues help or really knowing the phrasing of your tracks

Or you can set the cue point after the first bar and hit the cue. This way if one misses on the beginning of the phrase, just after the first bar they can match up with the cue song

You need to set the beat jump first. Default could be 4 “beat” then you need to press 8 times.

I hope this would be obvious. But what happens when you bring in the song too soon but it's already playing? Roll with it, baby. (I've made so many mistakes... so, so many. Fewer with a monitor though.)

Never mix on 8 bars unless you are low on time left. 16 is best

I do everything by sound and feel. I hate que points and synch and all that shit. I learned to spin on vinyl. Its all in my soul not the beat counter. Ive made crazy mixes spining UGk and bassline that arent in cues. I love what cdjs have to offer with beat loops and effects buts trust your ears and soul more then a computer.
