People need to realize that diesel-electric setups are better than pure gas cars or pure electric cars for towing or just going to the store or roadtrippin. There are a few things I wouldn’t use a diesel electric setup and that’s in racing applications but overall this is better

I’ve always been into trains. When I was little my dad showed me how a locomotive worked and thought it was so cool. I’ve always wondered why semi trucks didn’t work the same way with a generator…. Well, here we are😂

They said the kit will cost 1/3 to 1/2 of a new regular 1500 pickup, so that’s around $25, 000-$35, 000 for the kit. That’s crazy

Basically, a diesel-electric train for the street, excellent. ALL on-road vehicles should be like this. An efficient turbo-gas or turbo-diesel motor powering a big starter/generator (like some aircraft use) with motors at the wheels and a small battery pack for recovering regenerative energy for use in driving. Excellent fuel economy, and no range issues like EV's.

What kind of mileage. That's how some trucks are in the mining. Diesel. Electric
