The reason Kerchak despised Tarzan so much is because he knew what humans were. A lot of them are savage Ape catchers and killers. He had a feeling Tarzan would grow up to be just like them. But he doesn’t understand not every human is like that

Even though Tarzan did disrespect Kerchak’s authority at that moment, Tarzan still was right in being angry at Kerchak cause Tarzan is human and finds it hypocritical that Kerchak considers the humans he met as a threat due to Kerchak’s lack of respect to him all his childhood. And Kala messed up in not telling Tarzan the truth about being a human sooner than she should’ve did.

(In the enchanted forest, we are all having a meeting discussing the strangers. None of the others are worried that these strange creatures may harm them. (Me and Alex growl. We don't like it as our word gets questioned, especially by Norman. But the diesel has defeated the bears from Redshore City where we leaders must at least try our best not to lose any newfound respect)
Tarun (Me) and Alex: Protect this family, and stay away from them!
(Norman frowns, but does not resume any conflicts with us. He climbs down to where Elsa (who is a human and is the queen of Arendelle and is 5' 7") and Anna (who is a human and is the princess of Arendelle and is 5' 5") are at)
Elsa (Frozen) and Anna (Frozen): Norman, for once, listen to the Kings of New York.
Norman: (frowns at them) Why didn't you tell me there were creatures that looked like me?!
(Neither one responds. For some reason, they know this day will come. The question is, will Norman find out the truth?)
