What is Swap in Forex & How to Calculate It?

I want to teach you what is swap and how to calculate swap in forex trading. If you want to know why are your forex swap charges sometimes negative and sometimes positive, then this is the video for you where I'll have forex swap explained.

Forex swap fee is something that you can earn or pay if you hold your trades overnight. A lot of traders don't know how to calculate swap rate and it can end up eating up their profits.

Currency swap calculation is not that hard. It just involves basic maths. Basically you're just using the interest rate differential to calculate your forex swap charges or interests.

If you are performing carry trading, then the more you need to know what is swap and how does swap in forex affect you.

Hi Karen, just wondering if I have a spot trade on 22nd (value date 24th) and then on 23rd I roll it over to 28th (assuming a weekend in between). I will earn 3 days rollover interest right? In my Pnl, what day would I recognize that? 22/23/24/28?

Swap is one thing that I hate to deal with when doing swing trading. It's why I prefer intraday trading. Fees and Swap (for me) tend to eat into profit.

Is it the same if you decided to short USD/JPY?
