Jordan wouldn't have to defend in this era as much as he did in his. That enough would give him so much fuel to put in offense that averaging 40 is just the floor with him. Al Harrington also gives a good point. He would develop (at least) a decent 3pt game (just as Kobe did). 40 is the floor. He would also increase his assists average as well.

Jordan averaged 37 points in the era where players were getting clotheslined, elbowed, and punched in the face when the flagrant foul didn't even exist yet. In today's era, the rules have been changed to inflate points by removing hand/forearm-checking and calling fouls if someone simply sneezed too close to another player. Jordan would easily average 50-60 points in a season under today's rules.

I'd say Jordan average about 47 ppg in the league today if you didn't watch the games live you might not understand

As much as Shannon thinks Bron is the GOAT, he loves to ask his guests about Jordan 😂😂😂😂

The pace has increased by 15-20 extra possessions a game compared to the 90's. That, along with rule changes that favor players on offense, and the missing paint protection today unlike era's past... I say 1996 Jordan averages 43.3 today

I have heard some of the best players in history say MJ23 would average 50 points today. Just remember MJ23 was also 2 time Defensive player of the year in an era which was so much more physical. So I would say MJ23 would average 50 points a game and be defensive player of the year 4 times and win at least 10 championships with 10 finals mvp.

50 Regular Season
35 All-Star Game
55 Playoffs/Finals
And a 100 point game every season.

Shannon hates when they says Michael is the greatest especially coming from guys who played against both

Jordan would honestly average 45ppg easily... too much space, no physical defense, softer rules, travel call is a joke. the biggest reason is Big Men are garbage

Jordan average 37 ppg in the 1980's when his jumper was suspect, he wasn't great going left and the defense was was way better and physical than today. And there was 2-3 big men crowding the lane when he drove in a "No lay ups allowed" era.

So yea 40 would be minimum, and 50 average with a few 70 and 80 point games...Remember you can't touch him, all the cheap fouls they call today...and the uncalled travels...

Takes one to know one. Allen Iverson was a 4 time scoring champion, could have been 5 if he didn’t lose to Shaq in 1999-2000. There are only 5 people on the planet to have more than 3 years leading the league. So casuals should listen and acknowledge THE GOAT, MICHAEL JORDAN

Jordan didn't shoot the 3 ball, but when Clyde Drexler mentioned that one of the differences between him and Jordan was that he, Clyde Drexler could shoot 3 pointers. When confronted with Clyde's statement Jordan retorted, "I choose not to shoot the 3" from that point it was personal. Jordan showed up Clyde in the finals by shooting 6/ 3 pointers in the first half to put to rest the theory that Clyde was a better 3 point shooter than he was. The way Jordan attacked the game makes it clear that he in his prime would have a higher scoring average in today's game. Also if you take the time he broke his foot and only played 18 games in his sophomore year, then take the time from his first and second retirement, give him his points off his average, JOrdan would have retired with well over 40, 000 points. Jordan in his prime being the top scorer of the league for 10 years straight without the hand checking and with the clear path to the basket would have wrecked the NBA!

43 ppg on the same number of attempts as during his 37ppg season. The difference is that today he would have been attempting maybe 4 or 5 threes a game, plus he would be getting to the
foul line A LOT more!!

With no hand checking
Jordan would avg 40 easy and Imo A.I would avg 40

Jordan would average 40, the reffs used to allow atrocious defense back then, especially comparing it to the rules of today, with his mid range and dedication to the game, he would have learned to shoot 3s at a high level
