Teen killed after being shot on the subway in Queens

A dispute between two groups of teens on a subway train ended in gunfire that left a 15-year-old boy dead in Queens, police said. Josh Einiger has more from Far Rockaway.

My son is about to go to college.. he is 16 .. he will not take the train ! He will drive I rather kill myself before I hear my son got shot going to college!! I’m so so sorry for this childs mother . She should have not let him ride the train! My son doesn’t go on the train . I drive him every where or drives himself ! This is terrible rip baby ! Police need to patrol the subway system more frequently during hours when school kids return home, as many are gang members who clash when no supervision like teachers and school safety officers are not around. Police need to be visible on the streets during the same hours. “Officials” know the routes of these troubled kids who commit crimes after school but no real effort is made to consistently patrol those areas to keep people safe.

Police need to be in all trains and platforms to make sure it’s no guns, knifes etc. Please make sure our trains be safe for all passengers that rides the trains all day and night
