The quantity of water that will go into the phone depends on pressure that the water applies on the phone, this pressure ONLY depends on the depth of the water, not the width.
when u use a large tub of water but with a very thin level of water, the phones will more likely survive because the water applies basically the same pressure as the air does.
i think u should use a much deeper level of water, only then phones will struggle to survive for a few seconds .
thats why even waterproof certified phones have a limit of 1.5m limit of water depth ...
