I just bought one of these for my 780 vac sec. The way you adjust them is set to 1 1/2 turns out to start with. The try it at full throttle in high gear around 2000 rpm. If it doesn't bog you can turn it out more. Keep turning it out in 1/4 turns until you get a bog, then back in 1/4 turn. That is where it will perform the best.

The vacuum screw is quite handy for heavier/ tow vehicles. Having a bit of a chuckle as I replicated the function of the vacuum screw on a thermoquad with great results to have a bunch of commenters poo poo the modification. Vacuum control of the diaphragm open rate is much better than spring only control. With both, the spring can be used to determine the initial and full open while the vacuum screw controls how the secondaries transition. For my RV I can run a spring that reaches full open sooner with an adjustable vacuum screw than when using a unit that is spring only control.

Or just get a Quick Fuel carburetor to begin with.
It has adjustable air bleeds and transition jets also.

Damn! That's the bomb! I recently bought a car with a 750 cfm and noticed the RPM was around 2800 when the vacs kicked in. So is that screw a tapered needle like an idle screw? If so genius. I'm getting one after I type this.

How many turns did you end up with? Same question for anyone else reading this with one of these caps. Specifically the 3310-2 and above.

Just wondering sir, How did you end up liking the Holley vacuum secondary carb(s)?
I purchased two, a 600 Slayer and a 650 Demon which was the old Barry Grant 4150 carb. I found them to be completely and utterly useless pieces of Friday made junk. Both were promptly returned after their hopelessness was realized. Please advise.
