LiquiGen: Real-time Liquid Simulations - Whitewater R&D

preview_player
Показать описание
Our second public LiquiGen showcase and this video shows whitewater R&D inside of LiquiGen. It's not perfect and still has issues that we need to solve, but our recent progress has been exciting! Next up we'll be tackling surface tension, cohesion, and viscosity.

No ETA on LiquiGen's release date, we still have a long way to go before this is production-ready.

I've never been looking forward for a product release since Flame 8. This is amazing!

Absolute game changer. It's so refreshing to have stand-alone programs for each type of simulation that can be exported to any other program!

It looks pretty nice, I've been searching for an alternative to blender's liquid sim as a freelancer, I figured that this will be included to jangafx bundle. But I'm really curious approximately when we can start seeing its open alpha or beta. What I'm seeing here is already better than what I have.

Very nice. So many questions. For production pipelines what scale of simulations are practical? Will things like an ocean spectrum be possible or is it geared towards smaller scale simulations?

For output the main body of liquid meshes will be some type of cached geometry or alembic? Whitewater, foam etc will be alembic particles and for mist and spray generation VDB volumes?

Will there be variable density liquids in the same simulation?

Will there be attributes that can be passed on to other DCC’s at the point or vertex level?

Thanks again and great work as always!

I knew this day would come, just not this quickly.

Need:
1. The ocean waves
2. Force Field
3. Path guidance
4. Easy to use in other software (Maya Cinema4D Blender)

I can use Realflow and Bifrost Fluid, but I'm looking forward to real-time simulation.

Just like embergen this looks and feels like blackmagic. If I didn't know what you guys were capable of already I'd be more inclined to think this was a pre-cached fake claim than an actual development, just because of how incredibly powerful this already is compared to anything I've seen before

This would be really useful if the simulation could be tileable. Which is possible. I have seen examples last week in unreal engine from another dev. Edit *** Fluid ninja is the Unreal engine plugin that can do tileable fluids like this example *** /Edit

great stuff, although I wonder why single particle creep so high in the edges 00:14
Is it maybe due to adhesion being to strong in edges?
