Joe Schoen has a price that he values Saquon at which $12.5 a year on a 4 year contract; saquon turned it down during the bye week. Schoen offered saquon 14 million a year before the deadline to tag a player and he also declined. That’s why he got tagged! He’s asking for more then the number Schoen values him at.

The Falcons were ready to sign Jones if he hit the market, and they dangled money in front of Slayton to come with him. The only reason the Giants couldn't franchise him is because Barkley turned down an extension in 2022 to begin with. Barkley created this mess by turning down more money than he's ever likely to earn now, and somehow is escaping to another team without any of the blame.
