How to Replace a Deck Lid Panel for S550 Mustang (2015-2023).

We are going over the steps to replace a Deck Lid Panel on your mustang. "Take Two" had some damage due to excessive heat. Now its getting a Ford Performance Deck Lid Panel (M-16600-MA).

Best description I seen yet, others say to pry 'gently' against deck lid, being careful not to dent/scratch it. Your way is safer and 100% foolproof.

Thanks for the video. It was much appreciated and made this process much easier. I just used a handheld 1/4 drive spinner handle to undo the screws. I couldn't find my 5.5mm, but a 7/32 worked just as good..

Just a FYI you do NOT need to remove the trunk release handle, it will slide through the opening in the liner. Also the latch cover does NOT need to be removed, you can slide the liner to the side and if you rotate it, it will side out and around the latch cover. (remove the plastic trim retainer pins first). I've done this a few times when I installed my spoiler.

Are there any tricks you can advise on if you were wanting to drill new holes in your Ford performance replacement deck lid to accept the studs on a new emblem? I’m assuming it’s prepped in the back just not drilled out.
