I like that they included the types of contracts but the fact that the NHL team only gets a few months every 3 or 4 years to improve franchise mode means that there are going to be things left out.

I was hoping for a revamped scouting system, more complex trades ( think the three team salary dump or conditional picks), coaches adapting to teams as they stay longer with the same team. It would also be cool to have an All star game, one winter classic game, Olympics ( i know they can't call it that but an international turny), suspensions and so on.

Yo. That contract stuff is great. I haven’t played since 23, but the little nitty gritty stuff is great. MLB the show has an extensive contract and off season contract stuff that made it fun

I really wanna get into nhl and I was going to buy this game. But as for franchise mode, I wish they would follow suit of NBA 2k from the last few years where you can start in the past and legitimately play the mode for 30-40 + years without getting a game full of randomly generated players. Think I’m still gonna buy it just to learn a bit about the nhl currently. Hopefully it will be discounted at some point in the season.
